“Never be afraid to try something new, because life gets boring when you stay within the limits you already know.”

You may have heard by now that (dietary) fat is making a serious comeback. It’s a huge topic, and one that we’ll cover in more detail in upcoming months.
But we’ve promised you simple tips this month, so I’ll keep this one short.
To feel better, more full and more focused in your daily routine, choose one high-carb meal and turn it into a high fat meal.
For example, instead of toast, fruit, cereal, orange juice, etc. at breakfast, try eggs and bacon and some Wild C8 MCT in your coffee.
Instead of a sandwich at lunch, try eating just the meat and cheese. I love making meat and cheese wraps. You can even add in your favorite sandwich sauce or mustard. Roll it up and stick it in a Tupperware.
For dinner, try steak (I know I have to twist your arm with this one) and veggies instead of a meal with lots of pasta, bread, rice, potatoes, etc.
You don’t have to go all-out “keto diet” to enjoy the benefits of reducing carbs and increasing fat. Even one meal a day can make you feel a whole lot better.
What exactly will you feel?
- You’ll stay fuller longer. Try the breakfast I recommend above, and I bet you won’t be hungry when lunch rolls around.
- You’ll feel more mental clarity. Without getting into the details, our brains prefer fat over carbs.
- You won’t ride the blood sugar roller coaster all day. You know the feeling. 1 hour after breakfast and you’re hungry again, you feel weak and all you can think about is more food? Some of us our more sensitive to this than others. I know if I ate cereal for breakfast I’d be a basket case about 90 minutes later.
- You’ll feel better after you eat. You know that mid-afternoon crash you get after a big lunch? Try the lunch I recommended here and I guarantee 2pm will feel better tomorrow than it did today!
Over the past 60 years, we’ve been lied to by the powers-that-be; The so-called “nutrition experts” in the government and in the large institutions that define what healthy means and how to get there. There are a lot of theories as to why this happened, and we can explore those later. But right now, the important takeaway is this –
Fat does not make you fat.
Isn’t that the best news you’ve heard all day?
