“Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think. “
– Albert Einstein

I love to read. My parents instilled a love of reading in me that is 1/2 nature and 1/2 nurture. They love to read, and we read together as a family long after it was considered age-appropriate.

As I’m writing this, Steve is probably yelling “NEEEERD” somewhere in our house, which is what he “jokingly” calls me when I’m reading or talking about reading.

My friend and business partner, and founder of this company, Mark Paulsen loves the adage – “Leaders are Readers”.

I like to think of it this way: Millions of really really smart and educated people out there have spent massive amounts of time learning, reading and writing, so that you can consume a huge amount of knowledge in a couple hundred pages. You get thousands of hours of their time and effort, for what, $19.99 on Amazon?? Sounds like a pretty decent investment to me!

And if you can learn one thing from each book that improves your life – your investment goes even further.
Not ready to spend the money? Most library cards are $5. I have TWO because our town doesn’t have as many options as the town next door. $10 for access to millions of mini-educations?? Yes please.

I’ll get off my soapbox now and give you some recommendations of books that we have been loving lately.
